10/30/2023 0 Comments Iclone face mocap![]() ![]() Is there another way to get a BVH directly into iClone? So is it that the problem is because iClone's BVH converter does not have a profile which included mapping of facial bones? If yes, do we understand iClone's facial rig in detail to attempt a BVH mapping profile? ![]() There are some facial mocap software in the market that export mocap data in BVH format - but the BVH converter that iClone (PRO version) provides - does not read these files. Some people on this forum who are experts in tools like 3dSMax might be able to achieve this feat and get their 'imported characters' to work pretty much like iClone standard character - but that still leaves the question of facial mocap unanswered? I could be wrong, but the way I have understood is that iClone's facial animation is based on facial bones (not that I understand much about how this differs from the often-talked about morph animation) - and hence for any 'imported character' to use iClone's facial animation/lip-sync, its facial rig has to adhere with the facial rig of a standard iClone character. ![]() Apologies in advance if this doesnt make sense - am very keen on this topic of "facial mocap in iClone" and am replying to this post with the hope that an expert will help us out here. ![]()
